Splurge or Save // Sunglasses

One of my sunglass trays, I LOVE storing things in these acrylic trays!

It's no secret that I'm addicted to sunglasses. They're the perfect accessory, and can make you go from a 3 to a 7 real quick with no makeup or effort required. Didn't get enough sleep last night? Sunglasses, ran out of mascara? Sunglasses, can't be bothered to put on makeup? Sunglasses! You get my point; sunglasses are a necessary staple in every girls life.
One of the most important things when it comes to sunglasses is whether or not they are flattering on your face and more importantly stay on your face. If the sunglasses make you look like Mary Kate or Ashley Olsen circa the early 2000's then those probably aren't the glasses for you. If the sunglasses slide off your nose if the temperature outside gets above 75 degrees those also probably aren't the best option. The sunglasses you choose should not only look good but be functional.
Polarized or Non polarized lenses? I have some sunglasses that are polarized and some that are, I personally don't notice a difference between the two, expect when it comes to cost. Polarized lenses in high end sunglasses can run you upwards of $100 dollars more...Is it worth it? Your opthamologist  would say yes... I would say no. Stick to the normal lenses and your eyes will be protected.
Now the biggest question of all, should you splurge or save on sunglasses? For the majority of my sunglasses I've splurged and I love them all and know they are great quality and will last forever. The sunglasses I won't splurge on are ones that are currently on trend, I do not suggest you go spend $245 dollars on a pair of sunglasses that have pink mirrored lenses that you might only like for a week, find a fun affordable pair that won't eat away at your conscience when you purchase them. I do suggest you invest in a pair of timeless sunglasses that you can wear over and over again such as they Ray-Ban gold framed aviators (my personal fav) or a pair of traditional wayfarers.
One of my favorite pairs of sunglasses I own were under 6 dollars and look almost identical to the pair of Karen Walker sunglasses I talked myself out of buying. Clearly not spending the $300 dollars was the right decision. Sometimes you should splurge but there are many times you should save. Below I've linked some of my favorite affordable sunglasses.
