Can you believe Christmas is just a week away?! I can't believe how fast these past two months have gone. Today I wanted to share with you an easy DIY centerpiece that you can make with materials you probably already own!
First I gathered supplies to create the centerpiece- I used some fake tree branches, pinecones, leftover ornaments, candle holders & tea lights. These were all items I had around my house & in my Christmas boxes
Next, I placed down my tree branches- I cut the stems off and placed them together to create a fuller looking bundle. I secured the branches together using floral wire. Another great option for this would be garland!
I then placed the pinecones onto the branches- start with whatever material is largest- so if you're using big ornaments start by laying those out first. Make sure you are nestling the items into the branches so it doesn't look like they're just sitting on top.
I then added my ornaments & some decorative pinecone picks- these were ones I had leftover in my decoration box- you could even add in cute little figurine ornaments or different floral picks. To make the centerpiece more secure you can fasten the items with the floral wire ono the branches.
Finally, I placed some decorative tealight holders I had recently spray painted silver into the branches. These added a nice focal point and taller element into the piece. I placed some glitter tea lights I had left over into the holders.
Let me know if you recreate this! I'd love to see.
XO,
Nicholle
This is so cute and it looks quite simple to make too.
ReplyDeleteSo cute! Currently my dining room table is gift wrap central so there's no room for a centerpiece but I'll have to keep this in mind for next year!
ReplyDeleteThis is so lovely! And it can be a winter long centerpiece too!
