Open back top

I recently picked up this bralette at Target and have been so excited to wear it. A few weeks ago I was shopping around Tjmaxx and spotted this open back top and knew it would be perfect with the bralette! Now I want to buy more open back tops and more bralettes #help . I love this look because it was super easy to put together yet looks really cute and fun. These booties were a birthday gift from my mom and they're perfect paired with jeans and a tee! Hope you're having a great week!

Weekend Style

Fringe Booties // Button Up Shirt // Grey Bag (Similar) // Michael Kors Lexington Watch // Gap Denim

I love the weekend for one main reason, I get to wear whatever I want...isn't that the best feeling??? I'm not sure the office I work at would appreciate my ripped denim and fringe booties :) I love this look because it's super comfy and easy to throw on. My boyfriend just got me these booties and I LOVE them. They have the perfect little heel on them and look so cute with jeans or dresses. This shirt, I wore to work this particular day and then to make it more casual I unbuttoned the lowest button and tied a little bow. This weekend I'm going to see a Chris Young concert and I'm so excited! Do you have any fun plans for this weekend?

Vacation Outfit (York Beach)

Just wanted to share this super cute & easy outfit I wore while on vacation in York Beach with my family! I love how easy & comfy this look was yet still looked super cute, I got so many compliments! When packing for anything I always pick out a staple pair of pants and for this trip it was my white distressed denim, I can't even tell you how many times I wore them!

Hope you have a great week!

Vacation Packing // Must Haves

one // a good book
The best part about vacation is having absolutely no responsibilities which means I can spend 4 hours with my nose in a book if I so choose. I love reading more than anything, it really relaxes me and I love how it can take your mind away from where you are. I've read about 15 books this summer and have packed a brand new one just for vacation :)

two // cute cover-up
I love laying out by the ocean at our hotel since it has a nice little area right near the water, what I don't love is walking around in just my bathing suit, thus the need for a cute cover-up. This one is perfect to throw on to run and grab some lunch or go grab a coffee or just to get my tush down to the beach. When picking out a cover-up make sure it is made of lightweight material so you don't get too hot & it drys fast if you get it wet.

three // light sweater
If you're on a beach vaca the chances of you getting too much sun are pretty high and when you get too much sun you feel like your going to freeze once nighttime comes around. Thus the need for a cute lightweight sweater you can throw on. I just picked up this lace one from  H&M and absolutely love it.

four // black dress
Need I explain this? If you're going away you MUST pack a black dress. A need will always arise for you to wear a dress and a simple black one is the way to go. It will match any of the sandals / accessories you've packed and will complement your tan. And with that black dress make sure to pack a lint roller! No one likes fuzzies on their clothes!

five // flat sandals
I always pack way too many pairs of shoes and only end up wearing like 1 pair, and that pair is always the cute flat sandals. Make sure you pack a pair that is neutral and comfortable. I love these ones because they all a little something to a basic outfit.

Cleaning Makeup Brushes

At the top of the list of things I like to put off resides cleaning my makeup brushes. 1. it's not very fun and 2. it can be time consuming. BUT I've found some things that make cleaning my brushes not as bad. the first is this little blue brush cleaner, you just put the soap on your brush and then swirl it around on this little magic piece of rubber and somehow all the dried on makeup comes right off your brush, heaven right? In addition to the little blue brush cleaner, I love using this dawn foaming dish soap. I've tried tons of different cleaning solutions and this hands down works the best. It breaks up the makeup fast and leaves the brushes feeling soft.  I also use this soap to clean my jewelry.

Brush Cleaning Tips

one //
DO NOT I repeat do not put your brush head directly under the faucet, if you do this it can often loosen the glue that's holding your brush fibers in and or smash your bristles down.

two //
Lay your brushes flat to dry on a towel, this will help to keep your brushes in the proper shape.

three //
Use a small bowl with luke warm water & the dawn soap, dip your brushes in, this prevents your brushes from becoming over saturated with water.

four //
Wash your brushes at least every 3 weeks, it really depends on how much you're using then and what products you're using. If you're applying liquid foundation everyday you should clean your brush more frequently so that the product doesn't get caked up and ruin your brush.

Hope you've enjoyed this post & brush cleaning is a little less dreadful!

Boho Dress

Just a quick little post to share with you this super cute & easy boho dress! This look was perfect for date night and spiced things up compared to my normal jeans and tee! I love wearing easy flowy dresses with sandals and a cute bag, there's something so feminine and effortless about them that really draws me in. This dress is pretty sheer so I would suggest investing in a good dress slip. I learned that the hard way this summer when I noticed my dress was completely see through in the sun (yikes!). I've linked some different options for each of the pieces i'm wearing with most being super affordable! The exact dress I'm wearing is from H&M, I bought in store a few weeks ago, but can't find it online :(

Hope you've enjoyed this little post!
