* Jury Duty- Fun right!? I had to sit in a room for 8 hours!! And there were no windows- and of course, there were the criminals that they were selecting the Juries for- yikes!. Luckily I didn't get chosen to be on any of the Juries. It was Criminal Court and the cases were not pleasant, to say the least!
* Guess what my student brought to school in his backpack??? Any guesses? What would a 6-year-old boy pack for school? Toys? Candy? An iPod? Nope! BABY BUNNIES. I kid you not he packed 3 baby bunnies he found in his yard in the front pocket of his backpack. I can't make this stuff up people! Welcome to First Grade. Could you imagine being the parent who gets the call asking them to please come pick up the bunnies their child brought to school!? These kids always keep me laughing!
* Enjoyed the beautiful weather here in Vermont! It feels like we completely skipped Spring and headed straight into Summer! Definitely not complaining- it was 80 degrees a few days! I've been enjoying nightly walks which is one of my favorite things to do in nicer weather.

Things I'm doing this weekend //
* Manicure! Which I desperately need. Last time I got my nails done I didn't get them cut down and now I feel like I can't do anything since they're so long! I love the way long nails look but I can't seem to function with them.
* It's going to be rainy so I'm definitely going to take the opportunity to relax! With the end of the school year coming I feel like everything has been going 900 mph. Too fast! I need some R&R.
* Celebrating Mother's Day! I picked up a few sweet items I know my Mom will love! Which I can't tell you because she reads all of my blog posts- and corrects all of my mistakes! HA! Love you, Mom!
What are your weekend plans!?
XO,
Nicholle

so many fun things! And bunnies?!? haha! I love it! I am celebrating mother's day and have friends staying with me!
ReplyDeleteHaha my jury duty experience was about the same. I just had to wait for a few hours, got some money for lunch, and then they dismissed me. Fun times!

I HATE jury duty! It felt pointless waiting all those hours haha.

I've never had jury duty, and I'm so hoping I don't get summoned. Yikes! If I do, I'll certainly have a book with me. I can't believe one of your student brought bunnies with him to school! That is so crazy!
ReplyDeleteomg i can't believe one of your students brought baby bunnies - that's the cutest thing ever haha
ReplyDeleteMy weekend will be similar to yours except I am attending a good friend's birthday bash Saturday night :)
ReplyDeleteI've kind of always wanted to be on a jury (I guess I better be careful what I wish for!), I guess it's the true-crime fanatic in me!
