DIY Christmas Wreath

Hi All!
Since you all enjoyed my DIY Fall Wreath so much I thought it would be fun to make a DIY Christmas Wreath. The base of this is actually a fake wreath from Walmart that cost $2.47. With the added materials it ended up costing me around $10 dollars- way better than spending upwards of $50 dollars for a pre-made wreath! And you can add all your own personal touches.

Materials //
-Fake Wreath
-Snow Spray / Flocking Spray
- Pinecones
-Decorative Picks
- Thin Wire

How To //
-First, spray your wreath with the snow spray- I did this in my dining room on the floor with a bit of newspaper down- I then let the wreath dry for a full 24 hours- If you touch it too soon the white snow will wipe right off

- Next, pick the theme- I wanted a pretty simple wreath with pinecones as the major focal points.

- Set out your decorations on the wreath- This is the most important part- really plan out how you want it to look- I rearranged the items a few times prior to committing.

- Finally, secure your decorations with a thin wire- this part is a little time consuming as you have to be pretty methodical on how you attach the items- I ended up wrapping the wire around the pine cones first.

All done! This project is so simple that it would be silly for you to spend over $15 on any wreath! Make your own- I promise its fun!

XO,
Nicholle

  2. I love that everyone is into flocking this year! It's just so pretty to me, especially since I live in Alabama and we hardly ever get real snow!

  4. It turned out so pretty! I made my own a few years ago, but I made the mistake of using something with glitter and it got everywhere haha. I've since switched to ribbon and they're so much fun to make!

  5. The flocking on this wreath looks so pretty! I've never tried to DIY flocking but now that you've done it I may want to update our trees and garland a little next year.

  10. Beautiful job! It's crazy how expensive wreaths can get; making your own is definitely the way to go.

  11. Only $10?! What a steal... and especially a steal for a wreath! It is just as beautiful as the pre-made wreaths that cost a small fortune. I might just have to make my own this weekend using this tutorial :)
