Happy Thursday & almost weekend! I hope you all had a great week!
Things I did this week //
* I had a three day work week because we had a surprise snow day on Wednesday and an in-service Friday. The week goes by really fast when there are only three days with students! If you're a teacher you know it can get kinda tough constantly having missed school days- we still have the same amount of curriculum to teach, just in less time.
* Reorganized my kitchen cabinets so now I have room for all of my snacks in one of them! It was stressing me out having all my granola bars and trail mix sitting on my counter.
* Made a list of items to purchase for this Spring & my upcoming Vacation. Does anyone else love to make lists? I have an ongoing list of things on my phone that I either want or need. I'm really in need of some cute spring pants! I'm thinking some ankle length pants would be perfect.
Things I'm doing this weekend //
* Saturday Mani! This past time I got an OPI gel color and it has lasted SO well. I'd been using Essie gel polish prior and kept having issues with it peeling up on the edges. If you're looking for a great gel polish definitely try OPI.
* Perusing the bookstore for a new read aloud for my classroom. Part of the reason I love teaching first grade is because I love the stories I get to read to my class. Do you have any books you remember loving when you were younger? Let me know!
What are your plans for the weekend? Anything fun?!
XO,
Nicholle
It's funny I guess if you aren't a teacher you don't think about the stressful side effects of snow days- eeek!! But still nice to get a day to sleep in I am sure! :)

Love me some lists! I'd never remember anything if I didn't write it down first.
ReplyDeleteI'm obsessed with lists! I have four - five different notepads on my desk with different lists for different things. Also, I remember my third grade teacher reading Paddington bear aloud to us and I absolutely LOVED it. I loved it so much that when I found the entire volume (as an adult, mind you) I bought it so that one day I could read it aloud to my kids!
ReplyDeleteahhh i loved babar when i was younger! Im going to the worlds largest bounce house this weekend!
ReplyDeleteYay for a surprise snow day! Also, I love that you read to your 1st graders, I remember story time so well from that age!
ReplyDeleteI'm enjoying a solo weekend as my husband's away for a boys weekend in CO! Boston is a bit chilly, but I might take myself to a movie to to dinner!
I hate having groceries sit out on the counter, too! I had to completely reorganize my pantry the other day because it's surprisingly deep but the shelves are very narrow. (We rent, so we have to make do.) And all of my bread and cereal was clogging up my limited counter space!
ReplyDeleteI thrive off of lists! Having everything I need to do written on paper helps my brain calm down and not think about the tasks so much.
ReplyDeleteI love short weeks and OPI nail polish! Hope you're having a great weekend!
